TBW ALERT - (Possible) ATTEMPTED CHILD ABDUCTION!!! 11/17/09

On Monday November 16, 2009 (yesterday) while waiting for the bus stop at Fallow Trail and Cook Farm (Turnberry), a man exited the house at 7380 Cook Farm and offered the 12 yr old girl at the bus stop a ride in his 4dr white Honda.  She refused the ride, but the man continued, repeatedly offering to drive her wherever she wanted to go and cleared off the front passenger seet of the vehicle, gesturing for her to get in. 

She continued to refuse the ride as the man started telling her to get in the vehicle.  A neighbor witnessed the incident and exited their home at the same time the bus arrived.  The man left and the police were called.  A police report has been filed on this incident and we will keep everyone updated as we receive additional information. 

The suspect is described as being a black male, 40-50 yrs old, wearing an African type robe.
 
At this time 7380 Cook Farm does not have a registered sex offender living there, but due to this incident, the address has been added to our list of addresses we are watching.  Once additional vehicle and suspect information is obtained, we will also add them to our lists.
 
At this time we are asking all block watch members to please share this information with your neighbors in an attempt to protect the children waiting at the bus stops.  Please talk with your neighbors and other parents with children at the bus stops and make sure that a parent/guardian is watching each bus stop at all times.
